Well, I'm finally pleased to tell you that this morning we have officially shipped 178 packages out of the 332 total pledged.
What does this mean for you?
all domestic starter sets, core sets, and core plus sets (minus one or two) have been sent. I'm going to be adding tracking information to backerkit shortly so keep your eyes out for this.
The remaining packages i'm hoping to have in the mail over the next 2 weeks. For the international packages I do apologize I'm doing this at a slower pace, I want to make sure there are no hidden fee's anywhere in there. There also is a bit more paperwork (customs).

Ok, Saturday I sent out 46 packages, the majority were the starter sets with some of the domestic core sets.
Sunday I repackaged 75 core sets which is the remainder of the domestic packages for this tier. These will be in the mail tomorrow. Core + and the Full Monty sets are being repackaged tonight - wednesday night with an anticipated shipping this weekend.

These will also be packaged by the weekend but I will be delivering them to the post office at a somewhat slower pace, I am unable to schedule pick up for these packages because of the customs forms / and wanting to make sure you will not have to pay any additional fee's on delivery. Please be patient with me, Some of the Full Monty sets going overseas have a shipping charge well over $100 (which was a suprise to all us here) If you are one of the lucky few in Australia please contact me ASAP. My wife has family here visiting and they have offered to bring the packages back with them and ship from inside the country to help speed things up / eliminate the massive costs.
Lastly, I know many of you are unaware but we are streaming live painting sessions every Tuesday and Thursday evening starting around 7PM CST on Twitch stream - Cuttlefish Colors in action - during these streams we use the Cuttlefish paints and typically paint up miniatures we have printed from our friends over at EC3D. Ok, I can't apologize enough about the delay in the update. The last 7 days have been a blur between a wedding I was in, working 16 hours a day and trying to figure out the shipping mistake.
Shipping - yes, I shipped 49 packages last week, and the very next day they arrived back on the door step with a note that said needs more postage, improper labels. So, I did some digging - several emails back and forth with backer-kit support, I'm unable to call them due to my work hours. What we discovered is when we originally entered the individual weights of each item / pledge into the backer-kit shipping calculator I didn't place the decimal in the correct spot. Meaning everything that was 1 ounce, was being calculated at .1 oz. As you can imagine this threw everything way off. Backer-kit has been little help with getting this resolved so I have taken all the shipping out of backer-kit and will be using a third party shipping site. Top that off with I've been told by the post office that our boxes cannot be shipped as priority mail due to the size and designs. (it fits it ships boxes)
So, what does this mean for you - all the backers. It means things are going to be slowed down just a little bit. I've repacked almost half of the current boxes into priority mail boxes, it fits it ships style. I will be sending out the first wave this Saturday - as I am going to hand deliver them to the post office. My goal was to have everything sent long before now - and I apologize for the delays. I've read the horror stories of campaigns taking months to years to ship - and I didn't want to be one of those.
A breakdown in the delays - Full disclosure -
We originally were delayed due to bottle labels. This was what set us back from the beginning. Art files not correct sizes, formats, and the worse was the artist we used picked an image that was copyrighted. We got this all resolved with the help of the company that was printing our labels - and I can't thank them enough. It took away from funds we had saved but in the end I'm happy with the results.
Second delay - family. Due to the label delays things dragged on and school began for all 4 of my kids. 2 new freshman who are in band, and I can't believe how much running around and time that has taken. Both my boys love it and I can't be more supportive.
Most recent delay - the shipping weights - This one is entirely on me. I didn't go back over everything I had done in backer-kit to double and triple check weights. Believe me, I'm paying for this mistake - literally. Shipping was calculated as X for the entire campaign and due to my mistake it really is going to cost X(3). I secured extra funds with the help of my family and have what is needed to get everything sent out - so don't worry your packages WILL be on the way A.S.A.P.
Last few things - Because of this, and it being 100% my fault I'm tossing in some extra items into everyone's package. I know it's not much but I wanted to show that I do appreciate your support. Many of you are understanding and I thank you for that. What I don't need, nor care for is any rude, and outright nasty personal messages here or through Facebook. Please, stop - you know who you are.
Again, my deepest apologies to everyone for this mess up it was my fault. I will be sending each of you a tracking number for your package as soon as it is in the mail. The first batch (somewhere around 100 packages) will be getting sent off this weekend.

a couple of you have messaged me already - apparently i was correct in thinking that backerkits postage system was not right - the first batch of packages that left yesterday all arrived back at my house today. I do not know why at this point I'm still at my day job. Soon as I discover what has happened I will update everyone and let you know.

Shipping begins

Alright everyone. I'll be posting the first wave of packages (what I can fit in my car) tomorrow. You will be receiving tracking info later this evening once I print the labels. I apologize for the delays - I've tried many times to use backerkits shipping system, and it's been a nightmare. I've switched over to a third party shipping site that will help me print all the labels. All the packages are random at this point, the way the shipping info exported out didn't group anyone together. I plan on sending out packages as quickly as possible, the first batch tomorrow and another batch Tuesday of next week. (post office closed Monday for Labor day holiday)
I'm trying to get back to everyone's questions as quickly as possible but please be patient family life is pulling more of my time than normal right now with 4 children in 4 different sports.
