Survey's are out!
about 5 years ago – Mon, May 06, 2019 at 03:03:07 AM

Thanks everyone for being patient with us.  The survey's took a little longer than we wanted to get set up and pushed out.  Couple things that we have already encountered - and are unable to change at this time.  T-Shirts, there are only 3 sizes listed as options on the question.  If you need a size that isn't listed please let us know, either in the comments on the survey or sent us a message.  I can get just about any size needed.

If anyone has questions about the survey don't hesitate to ask!

Pre-order store will open up for those that missed out on the kickstarter Tuesday evening.  So if you or any of your friends didn't get a chance to get in on the action you still can!

Thanks!

Survey's
about 5 years ago – Thu, May 02, 2019 at 05:33:47 PM

Hey everyone, touching base here.  We sent out the smoke test survey's last thursday and discovered a few speed bumps with our add-on's.  I'm working these out right now so please bear with me.  Backerkit is helping, but the support is some what limited to one email a day currently and that can drag things out.  If you received the survey already thank you for being our guinea pigs!  If you haven't, don't worry I will get it out to you ASAP once I get the kinks ironed out.

A few exciting things to note - all our labels are finished (minus the 10 un-named paints)  They look amazing, I'm going to post up a picture of them soon.  All the bottles have arrived, as well as all the pigment.  We've started the mixing process already and will be bottling up the colors by the weekend.

Pre-order page!  our pre-order page on backerkit should be up and running.  If you missed out on the kickstarter but still want to support us and get some Cuttlefish Colors - this is how you can do that.  We will be updating the kickstarter page this evening to reflect this.

As always, thanks to everyone for the support, we are overwhelmed with how great the community is and can't wait for the things to come.

Survey time!
about 5 years ago – Sat, Apr 20, 2019 at 11:00:14 PM

Wow, been a crazy week and a half.  We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us this far.  We know we have a good deal of work ahead of us, and it all starts with the survey.

We will be sending survey's from Backerkit on Thursday the 25th so keep and eye out for these!  The sooner you return this survey the quicker we can begin production.  In this survey we will collect all your shipping details as well as any add-on's you may wish to purchase.

Speaking of Add-ons...did we mention we have managed to load all of our colors and washes into the backerkit survey?  AND have given the option to include additional colors in groups of 3, 6, and 9?  For instance, you originally pledged for the Core set.  You decide you really want 6 more colors, or a duplicate of a certain color...you now have the option to do this!

For our Serious Collector friends, in the survey you will choose your T-shirt size and we will contact you with the details about naming a paint.  In that email you'll receive a image of the paint you will name and we'll help anyway we can about getting you all finished up and ready to go.

Again, thanks to everyone - we are looking forward to production and more importantly getting everyone their paint!

2 hours left and some last minute help needed@
about 5 years ago – Thu, Apr 11, 2019 at 02:20:17 AM

We are almost there, 2 hours left and so close to breaking the 30k mark.  Fingers are crossed here it would be an amazing feat!

I wanted to ask you all to check out a fellow creators project linked below.  I personally have backed this project and find it very interesting.  I've used all sorts of miniature holders for painting but this one looks very promising!  Please check it out and help spread the word.

Thanks again to each and every one of you for your support, none of this would be possible without it!

The end is in sight...
about 5 years ago – Wed, Apr 10, 2019 at 09:08:38 AM

We are closing in on the last few hours for the project campaign.  All of us here want to express a huge thank you to everyone for supporting us!

We've had bumps in the past 30 days, learn more than we thought we could and seen ups and downs but we're confident that going forward Cuttlefish Colors will be a success.

Couple things to touch on real quick as we get ready to wrap up the campaign.

Surveys:  We will be sending these out within 1-2 weeks of the end of the campaign.  We are using Backerkit as our campaign manager so you will see a survey from them, NOT from kickstarter.  Please fill these out as soon as you get them so we can get final counts for all the products to begin production.

Production:  We anticipate production to begin late this month / early May.  We have already began the process of mixing the paints as we speak.  Packaging and labels should arrive mid May.  June will be full on production for us and we still anticipate beginning shipping in July.  Shipping will happen by location.  We are going to bundle up all products for over seas and split them up into the UK/EU, asia, Australia, Canada.  US shipping will happen over the course of a week or two.  We anticipate all of the first wave shipping to be out no later than the 3rd week of July, Wave 2 shipping will begin soon after.

Serious Collectors:  the ten of you will be contacted within a few days of the end of the campaign regarding the paints to be named.  We will send you a photo of the color in the bottle as well as a paint sample next to it.  We'll be happy to work with you on getting these names finished up.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us either through Kickstarter or our Facebook page.  I hope your as excited to get your paints as I am to get them to you, it's been a crazy 30 days of little to no sleep, stress and worry but the end is almost here and it was worth it, we couldn't be happier with the outcome!
